1. Support "ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE" to allow other apps to access remote directories through Solid Explorer

   Currently there is a lack of applications that both implement and use Android Lollipop's document tree API because of the lack of apps that support document trees. The only way to fix this problem is by fixing the current lack of document trees in cloud service provider apps and file managers.

   Document trees allow a user to give an app access to a folder through the DocumentProvider APIs. The app can take ownership of the folder and do operations (create files and directories, read and write files, list files in directories). The operations are handled by the target app; for Solid Explorer this would allow other apps to access storages inside of Solid Explorer without leaking sensitive information about the storages.

   Interoperability with fingerprint and password protected storages:

   In the case where a storage is password protected, Solid Explorer should spawn the same dialog thats visible in the app when selecting a storage, and the storage should remain unlocked for the app that is accessing it (and only that app, essentially sessions for specific apps).

   Eventually, once document trees gain more support, more and more apps will utilize them. Searching through Github issues reveals that a majority of apps that are requested to add support for document trees end up not implementing it because of the lack of cloud storage providers to test their code with.

2. Live Wallpaper

   let's get it straight, implementing to choose a wallpaper is nice, but a live wallpaper would take things to a whole new level. Let's say you make a rainy scenery a wallpaper, now what would happen if those droplets of rain would move? or you take a wallpaper out of forests, and add a wind to make the trees sway? such are the possibilities of a live wallpaper.

4. Make renaming easier

   Currently have option set for the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. The problem is when you rename something the toolbar disappears and you have to scroll down to make the toolbar appear again...stupid. Also when renaming it seems to choose the last period to select to this is also dumb and should be changed because the last period is not always the end of the file name. Basically you should make renaming more like ES.

8. Item Management

   The last File Explorer I used was great, but it missed great features like cloud connections or multiple tabs. It was called Cabinet, but was discontinued in later OS's and lead me to this application.

   • When adding an item to a clipboard to paste I always accidentally press the back button on my phone when I want to back out. I have confirm the check button twice when I want to cancel my action completely.

   • Now hard pressing on the item gives me a ton of options to either rename or more was truly a step up, but I also just want the 3 dot button pulldown beside the file independently.

   • Another feature I recommend adding would also being able to open that said file as a video or audio for example. Different type of file options even though the item extension says otherwise on what it is.

   • It also be nice to have a global view of what folders are in which views and how the items are being sorted like by dates or name. Also the option to globally change all folders to something would be nice instead of trying to find which ones aren't set to what you like it to be.

   We could expand more on this if needed, always open to adding more things. This was just something I found that bugged me personally.

10. Remember file selection after file transfer operation

    When doing a copy/cut and paste operation, the original file selection is not remembered and neither is the contents of the clipboard. When a file transfer operation fails, even if you have taken no other action, you must select the files all over again to repeat the failed operation. When making a complicated selection this can be vary frustrating, so it would be great to see a feature added that will solve this problem.

11. Bug : with creation of a shortcut with some media file

    If a media file (mp3, ...) have tag with picture (artwork) it is possible to create shorcut.
    But media file without picture in tag, it is not possible to create shortcut.

    I try to add a picture in my mp3 file (with star music tag editor) and now create shorcut is OK.

    Please add the ability to create a shortcut with a sound file without image in tag.

12. Confirm on exit if edited file has not been saved

    I like to use the Solid Explorer text editor to jot down notes. Unfortunately, Solid Explorer does not prompt the user to confirm that they want to exit if the file that is being edited has had changes made to it. I accidentally hit the "back" button on the top-left, and I lost a good amount of brainstorming notes because of it.

    If the file that is being edited by Solid Explorer has unsaved changes, Solid Explorer should ask the user to confirm that they'd like to close the file, preferably with 3 options:

    "Continue editing"
    "Close anyway"
    "Save and close"

13. Add an "Edit in" or "Open in" option to the ImageViewer

    Most gallery and image viewers have an "Open in" or "Edit in" menu item to open the image in an image editor. This is different from "Share" in that you will be saving the edited image directly where you opened it from. The ImageViewer lack this option making it a bit less convenient to use than other viewers.

14. Option to bookmark a file

    As we create bookmark for the folder, there should be an option to create bookmark for the files also.
    It would be really useful to bookmark very frequently used files like Syllabus, Time table ,pdfs, documents, etc.

15. Internal memory disappeared after installing sd card

    No longer have access to my internal phone memory after installing an external sd card and formatting it as internal storage. Now it only shows the SD card and clearing the cache and reinstalling has done nothing.

18. Thumbnail Orienentation on SMB

    Thumbnails on SMB pictures are not the good orientation. When opening the image with the include picture viewer, the orientation is good.

19. OP5 notification: battery usage

    Hello!
    On my new Oneplus 5 I'm regularly receiving notifications that Solid Explorer would use my battery...
    It's a notification 'reminding' me that Solid Explorer would use to much battery and it's giving me the option to force close it - or similar.
    This happens from time to time without me using Solid Explorer at that time. The notification goes away automatically sometimes.

    I installed it from scratch (via Play store - no Titanium Backup) and then restored a settings backup (Solid Explorer) so I wouldn't have to set up lots of network connections all over again.

    Please tell me what went wrong!
