  1. Please add the ability to run scripts

    I have a .sh file that I'd like to be able to run with root privileges in Solid Explorer. However, currently, there is no ability to do this.

  2. Play selected

    I would like to be able to play multiple music files that were selected. Right now it will play only one selected file.

  3. Can't swipe photos

    Can't swipe photos. The typical photo viewer functionality does not work. I used to get a menu with the choice to select: Open the file using... Gallery, Other apps.
    Any ideas?

  4. Can't launch VLC for MP4 files recently

    When browsing video files on a network share, I used to be able to tap them and then choose VLC from the "open with" list and stream them over the network.

    Recently, however, something has changed. When I try to view MP4 files I don't get the option to view them in VLC any more. When I tested with different video file types, I found that WMV files launch in VLC without the list being offered, AVI files show the list including VLC and a couple other options, but MP4 and MKV files only offer "Photos" and a streaming option…

  6. A New Google Drive Login!

    Hi friends!
    I love Solid Explorer. The option to drag files to other folders is amazing! The Cloud Manager too.
    I only have one suggestion at the moment (although I use Android 4.4 and I do not know how it happens in other versions):
    Google Drive login could be done "via browser" without havin to connect a new account in the device.
    I do not see this as a problem, but separate device login would be better.

  9. Drag and drop animation bugged after update to v2.5.7

    V257 when upgrading, the copy /move drag and drop animation is not working anymore.

    Ie. When folders are selected by holding down so they can be dragged to the other pane the folders disappear visually instead of seeing the animation of them being moved.

    The copy or move still works but you have to trust the selection is still there.

    On my Samsung Tab s I have v254 and that works perfectly still but after updating that the bug is there. As that is rooted I can return to 2.54

    Needs to be fixed

  10. A problem occurred with Network communication

    I have a Librelec media player, set up with Samba. It does not require authentication. When I try to connect to it I keep getting a message 'Network communication error'.

    The bummer is that ES file explorer connects to it in seconds, no problem.

    I had installed ES file explorer in favour of Solid explorer, but had to download it again for this problem!

    Please fix this!

  11. Can't unmount usb, SE redirects to Storage Manager

    Using Solid Explorer on Samsung a54. Android up to date. Have a SanDisk 256 USB pendrive mounted. The kind with a flippable USB-C and USB-A connection. Using Solid Explorer in the trial version, I like it and wanna buy it, but I also want to figure this out. I have the three dots next to the USB drive where I can click unmount but when I click unmount it takes me to a Manage Storage screen for the memory on my phone. I have to switch to the native Samsung file manager if I want to really unmount the drive…

  12. Renaming a file leaves a copy of the file with the older name too

    I'm on Android v6.0, Solid Explorer 2.2.7 170311.P.1.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1) Have a file in internal or external storage, say abc.mp3.
    2) Use Solid Explorer to rename abc.mp3 to def.mp3. Upon successful renaming, note that abc.mp3 is no longer listed, as expected.
    3) Connect phone to (Windows) PC using USB (MTP). Navigate to where def.mp3 is stored.

    Expected results: abc.mp3 doesn't exist.

    Actual results: abc.mp3 exists.

    I can reproduce this every time. MiXplorer doesn't seem to have this problem.

  15. Remember scroll position of Bookmarks view

    Add the ability for the last scroll position to be remembered and restored for when using the Bookmarks pane.

    Especially useful for users who have lots of Bookmarks and are multi-tasking with other productivity apps (it avoids scrolling a long list of Bookmarks each time)

  20. Restore backup - needs to use that exact same 'Mini tree' folder picker

    When I click on 'Restore backup' from the Settings window I am then taken back into the SE file manager as a user process to locate the backup file (.SEB)

    This implementation of Restore Backup is wrong for these reasons:

    1.) It confuses a user into thinking that the 'restore backup' is not working in a bug like state while defaulting back to the file manager view.

    2.) Other files are not omitted from being shown when navigating for the backup file.

    3.) There is no way to cancel the 'Restore backup' during navigation except to fully exit the app.
