There are many file conversions needed during the O365 Migration process which acts as a hindrance if not done carefully. One of those hindrances is OLM to PST extension conversion.

This manual technique has four main steps, which you have to perform one after the other. These steps are:

    Create an IMAP Account

Open Gmail or any other webmail then click on settings
In Settings select Forwarding and POP/IMAP Tab
Now check the status of IMAP; if it is not enabled then enable IMAP and save changes.

Configure Outlook for Mac with IMAP Account
Open Outlook for Mac and then navigate to Tool tab and select Accounts.
Now choose Email and enter your email id, password, and other details.
Enter IMAP server and choose SSL connection along with SMTP server and 465 as a port number; then click Add Account.

Export Outlook for Mac emails to IMAP Account

Open Outlook for Mac then select the item you want to move.
Right-click on the selected folder then Move> Copy to Folder.
Find the name of your IMAP folder and choose Copy.
After that update, the IMAP folder with Send/Receive button and all your OLM emails are now in the IMAP account.

Configure Outlook for Windows With the Same IMAP Account
Open Control Panel and select Mail>Email Accounts> New
Select Manually configure server settings then click Next.
Choose IMAP/POP settings then click Next.
Enter your IMAP account credentials and Incoming and Outgoing server details then clicks More Settings.
Click to the Advanced tab and enter the 993 port number in the IMAP server and choose SSL connection.
Enter the port number of the SMTP server as 465 and select SSL connection then click OK.
Now click on Next; it will take a few minutes then click Finish.

Hope these methods work out for you.
    Regards,
    Jake Paul.

Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is a cloud computing offering where a service provider delivers virtual desktops to end users over the Internet, licensed with a per-user subscription.

The provider takes care of backend management for small businesses that find creating their own virtual desktop infrastructure to be too expensive or resource-consuming. This management typically includes maintenance, back-up, updates, and data storage. Cloud service providers may also handle security and applications for the desktop, or users may manage these service aspects individually. There are two kinds of desktops are available in DaaS—persistent and non-persistent.

Persistent desktop: Users have the ability to customize and save a desktop so it will look the same way each time a particular user logs on. Persistent desktops require more storage than non-persistent desktops, which can make them more expensive.
Non-persistent desktop: Desktops are wiped each time the user logs out—they are merely a way to access shared cloud services.

Cloud providers may allow customers to choose from both, allowing workers with specific needs to access a persistent desktop and providing access to temporary or occasional workers via a non-persistent desktop.

Following are some different methods to manually convert EDB to PST

Method 1: EDB to PST Conversion using PowerShell Cmdlets
For Microsoft Exchange 2007 to PST: Use Export-Mailbox
For Microsoft Exchange 2010 to PST: Use ExportMailboxRequests
For Microsoft Exchange 2013 to PST: Use New-MailboxExportRequest command
Before converting Convert Exchange Server EDB to PST format using PowerShell, Create a separate folder to save the converted PST files from EDB and give any name to the folder. After that right click on the folder which will show you the Properties -> select the Share Folder. Then assign the Read/Write permission and click Share button.

    The Shared path example: \\MSServer\new-pst-folder

    For Exchange Server 2007

Use below given Powershell commands to Convert Exchange 2007 EDB to PST format.

1: Simply Run the Powerhsell command given below:Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2007
Then Extract PST file from Exchange Server EDB by using the command given below:Export-Mailbox -Identity abc@expertdotxyz -PSTFolderPath \\MSServer\new-pst-folder\Expert-Advice.pst
For Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2013

Convert EBD to PST by using below-given command:New-MailboxExportRequest –Mailbox Expert-Advice –FilePath \\MSServer\new-pst-folder\\Expert-Advice.pstWhere Expert-Advice is the name of users mailbox that we want to convert in PST file format.

Method 2: Export Exchange 2013 mailbox to PST using Exchange Admin Center (EAC)
Simply use the steps mentioned below to perform the EDB to PST Conversion:

There are many file conversions needed during the O365 Migration process which acts as a hindrance if not done carefully. One of those hindrances is OST to PST extension conversion.

Method 1: Export mailbox as a PST file Login to Outlook From The Microsoft 365 or with the Exchange account that was used to create the OST files. And to export the OST mailboxes to PST, follow the simple procedure:

Go to Files >Open & Export and click Import & Export.

Select Export to a file; then click Next.

Select the second option—Outlook Data File (.pst)—and click Next

Select the folder which you want to export and click Next.

Browse the location where you want to save the new PST file and choose the options regarding the duplicate items.

Method 2: Use ‘Archiving’ to save OST emails to PST By enabling the Auto Archive method in Outlook, you will be able to save the items of the OST file in a separate PST file. This method helps you to keep the size of your mailbox manageable. When the size of the mailbox grows and there are multiple messages that are older and you do not require them to be in the mailbox, then you can put them in the archive folder easily.

Follow the simple steps to enable auto archiving in Outlook.

Launch the Outlook application, go to File, and click Options.

Go to Advanced and click Auto Archive Settings.

Now select the number of days in which you want to run auto archiving. Select the folder to save the archived file; also, provide the archiving options and finally click OK.

Hope these methods work out for you.
