  3. Photos category is empty...

    Hi,
    Managed to shoot myself in the foot. Recently installed solid Explorer, tried to "hide" book covers from Photos on my Shield Tablet & all the photos in the Photos collection disappeared. There is nothing in hidden folders.
    I uninstalled reinstalled. I used a restore from my Moto E4. Nothing brings back the photo collection.
    The inbuilt photo viewer suddenly does not work either- maybe that will help with troubleshooting?

    What can I do?

  4. "File copy" notification won't quit, how to force quit a Solid Explorer notification?

    I started a "File copy" operation a few days ago which must have gotten aborted, can't recall if I was low on battery & the phone shut down or what. But the notification that says a file copy operation is in progress and 44% complete is just stuck and will not quit. Is there a way to force quit it?

  6. when saving an SFTP connection, hitting the "finish" button doesn't save, continually asks for password to encrypt

    After going through the cloud connection wizard for an sftp connection (successfully), as a last step SolidExplorer requires the connection information to be encrypted, and asks for either a fingerprint or a password for your google account. After successfully authenticating with either, the same page stays up, with the big green box with the checkmark, and the "Previous" and "Finish" buttons. Clicking the "Finish" button again only brings up the authentication window again.

  7. Bug : with creation of a shortcut with some media file

    If a media file (mp3, ...) have tag with picture (artwork) it is possible to create shorcut.
    But media file without picture in tag, it is not possible to create shortcut.

    I try to add a picture in my mp3 file (with star music tag editor) and now create shorcut is OK.

    Please add the ability to create a shortcut with a sound file without image in tag.

  8. Update DNS IP

    Hola, mi inglés es regular, por eso escribo en español.

    Analizando el tráfico en Wireshark me doy cuenta que al estar conectado por medio de una VPN a mi casa, en la red Wifi de mi trabajo, no puedo conectarme por Samba a mi NAS. El problema está en la resolución DNS de la aplicación, ya que usa la IP del DNS que me asignan por DHCP en el trabajo, y no la IP del DNS asignado por la conexión VPN.

    El punto es que la petición DNS se hace a una IP de mi trabajo, ejemplo 10.4.56.78 a través…

  9. can't write Japanese in SE text editor

    I can't convert japanese "hiragana" letters into "kanji" in SE text editor. when I type a second hiragana letter, automatically the first hiragana letter is fixed as "hiragana". so I can't write words which consist of a few letters. (I use Google Japanese converter(Google日本語入力))

  11. Chromecast

    I sent a bug report on this issue.

    I have a Nexus 5x with 7.1.2 running the latest release of SE. The issue is that when I attempt to cast from SE to my Chromecast the application fails and crashes... Every single time. Does anyone else have this issue?

  12. Cache problem

    Hello together,
    sometimes, there is an error message occuring when I try to open a file, "same file already existing in temporary directory".
    I can only solve this by cleaning the cache manually. Not a nice solution...
    Is there a better way to solve this?

    i can't purchase it because every time i try to purchase it balance deduct from bank but it shows trial expiring in 12 days

  14. VPN upload

    Good morning
    We connect through money explorer to a corporate VPN. In download everything works, while in upload upload always stops at 1%. With previous versions, everything worked fine.
    Can you clarify how to solve the problem?

  15. Cannot copy files to external SD card (2.2.8 paid Build 170613.R.2, Android 7.1.2, Lineage OS 14.1 August 22 Build, Moto G4 Play)

    The SD card is formatted as EXT4, but I believe I was having this issue when it was formatted as exFAT, and this and write performance were the reasons I reformatted as EXT4.

  16. Can't launch VLC for MP4 files recently

    When browsing video files on a network share, I used to be able to tap them and then choose VLC from the "open with" list and stream them over the network.

    Recently, however, something has changed. When I try to view MP4 files I don't get the option to view them in VLC any more. When I tested with different video file types, I found that WMV files launch in VLC without the list being offered, AVI files show the list including VLC and a couple other options, but MP4 and MKV files only offer "Photos" and a streaming option…

  17. Onedrive does not stream to vlc

    Streaming videos (tested with mp4 and mkv, may also include others) from onedrive to vlc causes the app to open and just have the loading pylon cycle indefinitely.

    Streaming mp4 from onedrive to the google photos app does work however mkv does not (probably due to google photos not supporting mkv?)

    Opening mp4 and mkv files stored locally with vlc from within solid explorer works fine.

  18. The amazon cloud plugin

    When trying to connect my amazon cloud account I get a login error. I believe this is caused by being directed to amazon.com whereas my account is held at amazon.co.uk. Is there any way I can connect my UK account to Solid Explorer? Other than this problem, solid works brilliantly for me and I'd love to be able to access ALL my storage from it.

  19. Connecting to samba server with custom port is sooooooo slow when trying outside of network.

    connecting to SMB server is too slow. My company only allow one tcp port for security, like 8022 port. My SMB server uses this custom port. When connect inside the network of company, it is really fast and comfortable. However when I try to connect at home, the connection successes but reallly slow.
