Now days every device has a fingerprint scanner i think its necessary to have a fingerprint option too, and with new api google gonna put in android M for this matter, i think you guys should go for this feature before everyone else.
Available in Solid Explorer 2.2

On my Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705), after change Rom (old MM 6.0.1 AOSP, now MM 6.0.1 stock), I do not see option fingerprint.
I cannot find a setting to setup finger print in my galaxy note edge phone. Can anyone help me to get this done. Thanks
Yes, really a must have option.

I agree, I'm a recent migrant from ES File Explorer - I was hoping to see fingerprint support here, its the one thing missing.

After getting a Nexus 6P I think this is a must have security feature.
It would be great if fingerprint security was an option instead of the master password. Using the fingerprint API on Marshmallow.
I think a fingerprint authentication for the app itself or the cloud drives would be very useful. its faster and easier than a pin
As long as it's purely API based officially from Android I don't see why not :)
Would add that extra layer of security within SE 2.0 (biometric security).
