Built-in Text Viewer and Editor
The one thing keeping me from switching from FX is the missing support for opening any file in some sort of built-in text viewer for a quick glance. Nothing fancy, just a quick way to open any file in a text view. Editing features would be an added bonus.

You're right, a built-in text preview would be very useful. A popular workaround is the "QuickLook" plugin, which lets you tap the spacebar on any file for an instant preview. For basic editing, try the "NotePad" plugin.

Is FX text editor available as stand alone app for Windows 10 or Chrome on Windows 10? I like the cobalt blue background and white letter.Much better for my eyes then back on white, only available on just about anything else...

It is not there. I'm using latest version but couldn't edit/open .ctp file in SE Editor. Couldn't even view the file content.

Agreed. Too many steps required to open the file. TC does it much better.

@Krysztof: Okay, I found it but it's not really intuitive. The options presented are for the detected file type first or generally intents which can accept binary files, it seems. (I tried to open a *.map file.) I have to tap that "pop-out"-icon in the top right, select "Text" and only then I am presented with the option "SE Text Editor".
FX always shows "Text Viewer", "Text Editor" and "Binary Viewer" as options for unknown file types which is much faster.
