How to Find/Locate Outlook PST file in Windows 11/10 or earlier?
Many Outlook users often wonder how to find or locate the PST file on their Windows system — especially when they need to back up, migrate, or repair their Outlook data.
In most cases, Outlook stores PST files in one of the following locations:
C:\Users<YourUsername>\Documents\Outlook Files\
or
C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\
You can also locate the PST file directly through Outlook:
Go to File → Account Settings → Account Settings → Data Files tab, and there you’ll see the exact file path of your PST files.
However, if your PST file is damaged, inaccessible, or you no longer have Outlook installed, you can still open and view your emails using eSoftTools PST File Viewer Software. This free tool allows you to scan, read, and explore PST files (including corrupted ones) without needing Outlook. It’s especially useful when you need to check the contents of old or orphaned PST files quickly.
