Chromecast

Chromecast option working fine first time after plug-in installation, then does nothing. (Xperia Z3 Compact Android 5.1.1)

I really loved the Chromecast functionality for playing back locally stored music (usually kids' stuff) an I'd really love to get it back. Is there anything I can do to help?

    Additional information: turns out that the problem only affects smb/cifs file systems. Local playback keeps working with chromecast.
