    Still no update on this? Seems like a bug in the app - I can connect using the same details from my Kodi box and from VLC on my Note 8.

    Same issue here. Nexus 9, tried on Macbook pro as well as iMac (hackintosh, actually). VLC Network sharing works like a charm with the same input!
