  1. IPv6 Support

Currently, Solid Explorer doesn’t support IPv6 at all. One cannot enter IPv6 addresses (they are deemed invalid) and connections to DNS names that resolve to IPv6 addresses fail (ACK replies from remote host are somehow ignored).

Because the underlying Android architecture most likely supports IPv6, the required changes should be easy.

On the other hand, if support for this isn’t coming, it should not try to connect to IPv6 addresses.

  2. Very important UI Improvements

The key of having an awsome app is having great features (as solid explorer) and having great UI (that's the Solid's problem).
UI of Solid explorer 2 is very bad, icons are as same color as top bar, drawer icons are not beautiful, rounded icons in drawer are the worst, current Solid's UI is not well, it gives me a very bad feeling and it bothers my eyes a lot, pls pls pls change these, I know very people will be glad, I love this app but I care so much about UI, this UI that solid explorer need to…

  4. Do not report the amount of files in child folders

Don't report the amount of files in child folders with the "Show Folders Size" options.

I've included screenshots to help explain what I mean. The screenshots also explain another suggestion I made.

  5. Differentiate between folders and files with Show Folders Size

When you check "Show Folders Size", it reports both folders and files as files. Instead, report separate values for each instead of combining the total.

I've attached 2 screenshots that compare Cabinet BETA and Solid Explorer to show what I mean. The screenshots also explain another suggestion that I made.

  6. When zooming in a picture with the built-in image viewer the picture should be "depixelated"

I noticed when I'm zooming in a picture it remains pixelated. I know it's not because low picture resolution because other image viewers display the image fine. This problem is most noticable when viewing scanned text documents.

  7. include alpha transparency in color pickers

or make the "dark" theme option consistent with system framework background for people with theming engine or who want their homescreen wallpaper as background. as shown in the screenshot. not everybody likes material design colors.

  10. Compare 2 hashes when multi-selecting > properties

Today I went to compare 2 song files to see why one was corrupted. I was able to go to properties while multi selecting them. it provided awesome merged properties info, however I was unable to find the hash comparer when selecting 2 files.
I had to select each song and go to properties individually and copy /paste the hashes to compare.
my request is that when multi selecting, then go to properties, the hash comparer is available to tell me if the files I've multi selected are identical.

  12. Transition Tweaks

So everything is fine about Solid Explorer except the transition speed when you're going back one level from current directory. It is much slower compared to when you're entering a folder.

Are you guys "caching" things correctly?

  13. Allow installation on non-touchscreen devices

I want to be able to install Solid Explorer on Android TV without side loading each update. Please allow support for non-touchscreen devices in the manifest so that Solid Explorer can be installed and updated on Android TV via the Play Store.

  14. No "back to root" option in settings

As per title there is no option to back out to root.

As SE2 does not allow direct path entry which is very restricting the option to back up to route would help a little.

Ideally allowing a long press to enter a path manually would solve all problems but it seems like this isn't a priority.

The old SE had this option and here's an exmaple of where this or direct manual path entry is essential:

I have several hidden folders on my NAS drive which I don't want available to all so my configured setting is to get…

  18. Allow opening any storage location from external intents

It would be nice to be able to open a location from an external app by firing a view intent with a certain uri. Say for example that you had a configured smb storage in solid explorer. The intent's uri could be:

    smb://example/some/path

    or

drive:///some/path (or drive://username@/some/path if the user has multiple accounts)
