USER PICTURE ICONS in bookmarks/favorites (or even all folders)
The folder icons are plain and they don't stand out (I found myself staring at them) ... It could be a 'deal maker' if you made this so you could have user picture icons for the folders - instant recognition of where to go. (I don't think anybody else does this, so you would stand out from all the look alikes.)

Root access denied
I want to see what my game is saving in the root folder called data. But when I click on the data folder, I can't access it, it tells me that it is denied. When I bought this app I thought it provided access to viewing the root directories. I recently had to factory reset my tablet, and lost game data, so I'm trying to avoid that in future.

Add Function : Show the same folder Second panel with first panel
I know, SE already can copy/paste file first panel to second panel. but doesn't have a "show same folder on other panel" function. if it has the function, panel will be more useful.
so please make the buttons, name is "show at second panel" button or menu , "copy to second panel" button or menu , "paste to second panel" button or menu
if i long-press the "test" folder at left panel and seclect "show at right panel" button, then open the "test" folder on right panel.
um... after select the files or folders at left panel, touching the "copy/past to second panel" button can copy and paste it, don't need to open the second panel.

In properties "Folder Information" display, move # folders, #files and total size higher so no need to scroll to see these
I realize Solid Explorer, like all Android apps, runs on many devices with many screen sizes, but even with the really large screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note, I find it a nuisance that I cannot view at a glance -- without having to scroll down -- the most essential attributes relating to a folder of set of files/folders I have selected to see properties for. As a software developer and film editor, perhaps my needs are different than other users ... but while the moving imagge and pie chart are impressive, I usually just ignore those and have to flick down to bring up what I really need to see.
I'd suggest you reformat more tightly or provide global options to select order of display under "properties". Or else relocate the pie chart to a different tab under "properties" . I also note that there's an option to turn off display of an image under "properties" so it would be great if doing so resulted in the tabbed portions being shifted up to utilize the otherwise unused space. This would then not have to upset users who like the way properties is set up already.
Typically, # folder, #files and total size is the primary information I need to see ... the secondarily, modification date. I already know where I am in the file system, so current and parent folders are, to me at least, auxillary information. I don't find all that useful he graphic displaying storage usage relative to device storage size. In fact, I usually completely ignore that.
But these, I realize, are just MY preferences. Unless others happen to agree?
Perhaps what this boils down to is that there is too much information on the "Folder Information" tab and perhaps it could be redistributed to elimiate need to scroll down to see the most essential data.
Again, I do realize that no matter what you do, you can't please 100% of the users 100% of the time. As a software developer, I know how frustrating/challenging this can be. Even more problematic when screen size can vary wildly. Even more so considering that layout options on handheld devices are pretty limited, compared to what is possible on a full-sized computer display.
Once again, I am rambling. But imagine if you had to read through all my words to find out how many votes Trump and Hillary have in Ohio at 3am next November?

Have a settings options to move folder scroll bar from right to left side.
Well, not just because there are left-handed people, but because I find that, when flicking up or down to scroll through a large folder (like looking for one .jpg file amongst thousands by, it is VERY EASY and happens to me CONSTANTLY, to inadvertently brush the scroll bar on teh right margin. This is even easier to have happen accidentally because the scrollbar (helpfully) appears and disappears so as not tog et in the way of looking at folder contents when not in uise.
I would LOVE if I could move the scroll bar to the right. Either as a global options in Solid Explorer, or per folder. Granted, it would be more cumbersome to actually USE the scrollbar but that is kind of what I am HOPING to be able to do. Honestly, I find I can only use the scrollbar just to gauge how far down a folder I am or to move large distances. Otherwise, I use a flick.
Meanwhile, I don't think the scrollbar should be PERMANENTLY moved to the left because I don't expect EVERYBODY would want this. It is a standard kind of option within most Unix/Linux desktops to be able to move the scrollbar to where one finds it most useful. It REALLY would help me a lot to be able to do that in Solid Explorer. I was SOOOOO HAPPY when you released the major revision, because I FINALLY had ONE file manager which can do EVERYTHING I need and do it wll. Now I am just hoping for a little fine tuning.
Anyhow, I am rambling, sorry. I REALLY love this file manager, and I have used tons of them on handheld devices for almost twenty years! Okay, I'll shut up now.

Recursive file rename within directory tree
The ability to rename groups of files using regular expressions and other options is great. However, I find I want to do this for all files within child directories. Sure, I end up doing this with a little Perl script, but group rename feature would be soooo much more awesome if it could recurse. (And I know that with this power comes potential danger, so user beware.)

transfer to another panel
I usually use the function of copy/move to another panel.
It would be more convenient if the funtion not hide in the menu of bottom toolbox.
Just put it on the toolbox directly, or make one more individual button for it.1 vote
