  2. Solid Explorer Tabs in Android Recents

    Have Solid Explorer display its tabs in Android's Recents, similar to Chrome tabs merged with other apps in the recents menu.

    I don't know if this is possible though...

  3. Move "Options" contents to settings

    I don't understand why there are seperate "options" (in the overflow menu) and "settings" (extra activity accessible from the navigation drawer). I know that from the overflow menu, it is faster to access but I think that most items won't be changed that often because they are a thing of personal preference.

    • Show hidden files
    • Folders first
    • Remember last folder
    • Show folders size
    • Show sections

    Instead, I'd move all the items to the settings activity and remove the overflow item completely.

  4. Use of FAB as an option button.

    It would be nice if you can add the functionality which you can see in the screenshot, while selecting any item, FAB converts into option button by which we can copy, cut , share, rename or delete that item.

  5. Hide action bar instead of path bar

    I think that the action bar (or is it called toolbar now?) should be hidden instead of the path bar when the user scrolls down. Similar to My Apps screen in Google Play. Or at least add an option to make the path bar persistent.

    Implement a comparison feature. This would simply scan both panes, and compare by existance, date and size or content/md5.
    After an item was found missing, a gost would appear in ITS place, when a conflict, the item would get some extra icons. Context menu on items would allow for actions. Additionally it would be great IF in Comparison mode, opening a subfolder would follow in both panes

  8. Remove "Close file system" confirmation dialog

    Is the "Are you sure you want to close this file system?" dialog really necessary?

    When I click the overflow button and choose Close, why I would need to confirm the action? I think it slows down without any real advantage: maybe with the online services, but anyway you can always reopen the folder from the bookmarks I think.

  9. Optional FAB button

    I find that I use the functions under the FAB button very rarely. I never create files without an app and I don't add cloud connections but on rare instances. This leaves just the new folder choice as a useful option. For the invasive nature of this button, I think it is not worth it. Please consider either an option to turn off the FAB or a choice to use different options (sort order, page view... These are more day to day functions).

  10. S pen support

    Highlight multiple files while holding button on s pen like with a mouse. And also when you hold button and click on a file it acts like a right click and opens up a menu.

  11. Special Characters in Search

    Usually when I download files or photos multiple times without my knowledge it creates duplicates with special characters containing; "(1)". (Without quotation marks.) It is necessary to allow users the ability to enter these search queries using special characters so users can select all of the files containing them and be deleted.

  13. Option to theme slide out menu

    In the icon themes, it doesn't appear to change the icons in the left slide out menu (directories, etc.). Please consider allowing the themes to apply to this, as well (if possible). It would be nice to have a universal look if I changed to square.

    I think that you can draw a new clipboard icon to distinguish with copy(cut) icon.

  15. Copy then auto-delete to SD card (an alternative to MOVE)

    Hi, this is just an alternative to 'Move' since there are issues in Moving files from Internal to SD card on Android 5.0 with classic Solid Explorer (which I believe is related to the new API i Android 5.0)

    It would be simple to provide a feature and option to be able to Copy+Auto-delete which would provide the exact same as file/folder 'Move'

  16. Move EXIT

    You should absolutely have moved the todays EXIT option from the slide-in menu, to the action menu in the main window.
    Like it is today it way to backwards to exit the app fast

  17. Double tap missing in text editor

    To select a word in the built in text editor I now have to long press on it. In the previous SE I could double tap on the word and tap and hold. Please re-add this option since this is how android still works and many users are used to it.

  19. EDGE support (Samsung galaxy devices)

    There already exists the successful Samsung phones of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge. Both Android phones.

    These feature an edge display which can show events, notifications as tickers on the side of the screen.

    Samsung has already released an SDK for third-party developers to use.

    It would be cool if Solid Explorer supported displaying such useful info on the edge display such as:

    =FTP events
    =Cloud events and notifications
    =File/folder copying/moving progress bars
    =Last accessed directory

  20. Moving files, visual problems

    When I move a file eg from Internal storage to SD card, unless I refresh the folder for it to show accurately (after operation is done). Meaning it sometimes shows incorrect size of the file etc. Hard for me to explain, but it isn't a 'clean' cut and paste.
