LAN/SMB Connection, will not store user entered password, instead the app creates it's own
I've added several LAN/SMB connections before, and it stored the password just fine. Now trying to add a third connection, I add my user name and password, click the box to save it, click next, everything looks good in the review, click next, click connect, click finish. When I try to connect, it gets authentication problems.
So, I go back and check the settings for this connection, click previous, and if I click on show password, the password in the field is not the one I previously typed in to save, the app is creating it's own password "RoFv8aKP0qs7dMD6GRUKow=="
Not sure how to correct this, because every time I reenter the correct password and save the edit, it does the same thing again, authentication error, and creates and stores the other password.

I recently bought the pro version of this plugin and am have this exact same problem. I love this file explore for all of the other amazing features it has. But, this bug is a very frustrating one because it's very clear it is overwriting the user typed password and generating its own. Why this is the case kind of boggles me since I can not think of a case where any type of network share would every accept a connection from a user with a newly generated password every time they connect. Plus, my password structure looks exactly like the OP's. My password when I gave up editing the connection was 'uAuil7Q49Tx8AmJIS0+WSA=='. If we could get any idea on whether the developers are aware of this issue or if there's a roadmap to when it will be fix, we would all appreciate receiving an update. It's the only unpleasant thing I've run into when it comes to this app. Freelance web development is my profession and I've written plenty of bugs so I'm probably more forgiving than most. Hope to hear from you guys soon though!

The same problem.SE does not allow to access disks on server. I tried to change Samba versions, name like "domain\admin" etc etc - no joy. Total Commander connects fluently.

I'm having the same issue and the fix the op mentioned isn't working. I can't access any path that is password protected.

Hi, the strange password you have seen is its ancrypted form taken from the database. No need to worry about that.

Was able to connect, by using username as "domain\username"
The previous connections I've made did not require the domain, not it seems like it does
