automatically sync with cloud service
I would like to see an option to sync local folders with the cloud on a periodic basis. kind of like foldersync.
The user should have the option for two way sync or one way.

The smooth and constant movement of data between a device or application and a cloud-based storage platform is known as "automatically syncing with a cloud service." By enabling users to access the most recent version of their data from any location with an internet connection, this procedure enables real-time updates and replication of files, documents, or information across numerous devices or locations, improving collaboration and data consistency. For more information about cloud based services and digital marketing related information you can visit The IoT Academy. i'd LOVE to be able to pick two folders (local, internal, remote, google, dropbox, webdav), and have solid explorer sync them once a day, or be able to trigger a sync.
example: when i drop a file on my webdav server, it will automatically be propagated to a chose folder on my phone/android device\, or vice versa. It will be nice to be able to store multiple sets of 'syncs' folders. SolidExplorer is the best tool to act as the bridge. Maybe make an rsync plugin for solid explorer.

Probably a push/pull approach would be a good start and satisfy most needs. Currently I have to go and select the Dropbox folder, copy, go to the place where I have my local copy of that folder, paste, tap on merge folders, and keep old versions to use leds bandwith, but the feature could be a bit more smart and compare file hashes and if they differ pick the one being pulled.

+1 here too. I can connect by webdav to my nextcloud installation but that's little use without sync.

+1 for this feature with the ability to specify over which network to perform sync over (e.g. WiFi only)

Also sync between two folders ie a folder on the internal and a folder on the external sd card.

I use Folder Sync and it does a great job synchronizing files. But the File Explorer is lousy.
My sync needs are simple, just locally via SMB to a NAS. So having that feature in SE would be great.
I think the most advanced feature I need is specifying which Wi-Fi network since my NAS only accessible at home.

I agree... Cloud -> local and local -> cloud. With regex it would be great (only *.jpeg) such as FolderSync app but totally fonctionnal :)

Just realized this has been posted a year ago so chances are it won't be implemented any time soon.
