Have you got to read an attachment which has been sent to you on a Thunderbird account, which is in a PST file, and you do not use Outlook? No need to worry; I have the best solution for your problem. Thunderbird does not work with PST files, so what to do is convert your PST file to MBOX format as the format understood by Thunderbird.
The simplest thing which can help to do this is the BLR PST Exporter Tool. It enables you to copy all your PST to MBOX without necessarily using Outlook. Once you find the MBOX file, the only thing you have to do is to run the Thunderbird, proceed to Tools > Import and then select your file. That's it!
It consumes only several minutes, and it is not necessary to work with Outlook. This is the best solution because even I was once in a no-man situation as far as working on a similar type of problem, and here I used the PST Data Converter, and it simplified my work.
