Encrypted folder always asks for passworld instead of fingerprint
On my Samsung S7 the encrypted folder asks for passworld instead of fingerprint in a lot of cases. It works fine, but for some reason it happens to "forget" my fingerprint and asks for passworld instead in a lot of case.... I have to type in the pass and stick "use fingerprnt" again and again...
Is there a solution?
Thanks.

the same occurs for cloud storages (e.g. dropbox) on my HTC 10 with Oreo 8.0.
Please, find a solution, the use of a fingerprint is way more practical. -

Also happens on my HTC10. Exactly the same problem. The "forgetting" is very random, I could not correlate it to anything.

I have the same problem as well. After encrypting a folder with a password and fingerprint, it will regularly request for the password to be entered again which can be inconvenient if you have a complex password and want to access encrypted files quickly. I noticed the problem will often occur after a reboot of the device.
I am using a ZTE Axon 7 with LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.2)
