Renaming a file leaves a copy of the file with the older name too
I'm on Android v6.0, Solid Explorer 2.2.7 170311.P.1.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Have a file in internal or external storage, say abc.mp3.
2) Use Solid Explorer to rename abc.mp3 to def.mp3. Upon successful renaming, note that abc.mp3 is no longer listed, as expected.
3) Connect phone to (Windows) PC using USB (MTP). Navigate to where def.mp3 is stored.
Expected results: abc.mp3 doesn't exist.
Actual results: abc.mp3 exists.
I can reproduce this every time. MiXplorer doesn't seem to have this problem.

thomasbuff commented If renaming a file leaves a copy with the older name, it could be due to syncing issues, system settings, or file manager behavior. Similarly, concerns about is MTP host spyware on Android arise when unusual file behaviors occur, making it important to check for background processes and security settings.

 commentedThe problem is more serious.
SE does not send information about file changes to the media server.
So any changes in filesystem are invisible for MTP connection.
Normal files copied with SE into a new place are displayed in MTP as empty (and so they are copied to the PC). Deleted files appear as ghosts that can not be accessed.
