If I rename a folder, it changes into a 0kb file

I cannot rename a folder. It becomes a 1kb file that cannot be opened and all content inside is lost.
I have to create a new folder with new name, move content, then delete the old folder.

    I had this problem... Booted into recovery and renamed the folder in TWRP>File Manager (It was accessible there). Rebooted to system and voila, it was there. Not sure if a simple reboot would have fixed it or not.
