copy path no paste option
I made this suggestion in the old SE and it was planned.
I saw the option now to copy a path is there but it is not useful as such in the way I would like.
Essentially I'd like to see full access to the path field so that I can either copy and paste I to it directly or type a path in if need be.
All that really needs to be done is to allow a long press on the file path and it would then switch to an entry field with cursor, thus allowing you to type or paste the path in. Much like you can do in windows.
This would save so much time and energy and make it very convenient.
Please consider this for some future update.

Sad that over 2 years on this is still not implemented.

Ditto. I want to be able to view a .pdf file located on a Linux server from an Android tablet. To do so, I want to enter the SMB path to the file. As far as I can tell there's no place to enter a file path in Solid explorer. I can work my way through a file system to get to the file, but I want instant access to one of thousands of files. I will be using keyboard wedge barcode scanning to enter the path (using QR barcodes). This is so machine shop operators can bring up drawings on a tablet - a very needed approach in a paperless machine shop.
