App logos of file associated apps displayed as overlays
Each file and folder in SE 2.0 is represented as a flat circle icon with a little icon picture centered within the circle.
This generic approach is good and granted, yes certainly, it is design-conscious of the existing Material Design approach.
But just as a future enhancement in the future, it would be nice if there was a setting to enable SE to display app logos (within the circles) for each file extension of associated opening apps that SE would handle

New Tab and Split view
Add a list view of opened tabs and a option to enable split view. Also an indicator of how many tabs are open without pulling the left drawer out would be important to have.

Option to make remote connection read-only
It would basically remove all items that could create new files or delete, move or edit existing ones.
Purpose is e.g. a read-only Samba share.

I love SE2's design and features
2 small bugsI found :
-The "Root" entry in the side panel under "Storages" isn't always displayed. From time to time it diappears and comes back when closing and reopening SE2.
-It is impossible to copy files from SD card or internal memory to a system folder despite root privileges. The user interface doesn't offer the option to browse up to such a folder once you have copied a file.2 votes -
Remove "Close file system" confirmation dialog
Is the "Are you sure you want to close this file system?" dialog really necessary?
When I click the overflow button and choose Close, why I would need to confirm the action? I think it slows down without any real advantage: maybe with the online services, but anyway you can always reopen the folder from the bookmarks I think.

Solid Explorer Tabs in Android Recents
Have Solid Explorer display its tabs in Android's Recents, similar to Chrome tabs merged with other apps in the recents menu.
I don't know if this is possible though...

Enhanced support for App Folder Icons
Thanks to the completed request of this: http://neatbytes.uservoice.com/forums/274528-solid-explorer-2-0/suggestions/7183846-see-which-app-created-directory
Solid Explorer 2.0 now shows miniaturized App icons for which app created which folder and this is really nifty for the main Internal Storage directory.
However, to state the obvious, SE needs to support much more third-party app icons that are out there
I know that some apps that I have currently installed are now extinct (no longer available on Play store).
So here is a list from my screenshots that I would like Folder App Icon support for..

Renaming an extension (inside single-rename)
I think it is necessary important that "Extension" be a separate renaming choice in the single-Rename dialog.
There are reasons for this in my experience:
having to drag scroll a long filename text just to get to the end of the name to edit the extension after it's dot
While drag-scrolling the name text, Android often would initiate an automatic Paste dialog which can be accidentally tappped
The system keyboard would try to auto-captialize a letter after detecting the dot which is normal behaviour but is unwanted when doing a Rename
By implementing this request, it would make visually seeing…

Properties needs to show separate Name and Extension
So, for under the 'file properties' sub-heading
"Extension" - there's needs to be a separate display of the extension. If a file as no extension, then something written like (none) in brackets should be displayed
"Filename" - theres needs to be a separate display of the full filename. Currently the Properties in SE does not display the full filename for a long filenames and also current Properties in SE 2.0 only displays the filename vaguely at the top of window which looks poor and not detailed.
