  2. Cannot connect with local SMB PC with error 0xC000009A

    After successfully connecting to my laptop via my local wireless LAN and accessing files without issue, I tried to copy a backup to that same laptop. The transfer failed with error 0xC000009A. Now I cannot connect at all (same error). Nor can I recreate as a new cloud connection.

  4. Add MTP capability

    Hello there.
    As a daily user of Solid Explorer I would love to browse other phones' file systems via my usb otg cable. As many know Android uses the MTP protocol to transfer files between devices by usb.

  5. Option to load all thumbnails, not just the ones currently in view

    I have couple of folders on OneDrive with several thousand pictures. When I switch to gallery view, the thumbnails start to load, but only the ones that are currently in view. Loading all thumbnails is a pain because you have to manually scroll page by page to load them. I understand this is to save data, but I would like an option where when you go into a folder ALL thumbnails load regardless of them being in view or not. That way, you can enter a folder, leave it for a few minutes and then scroll with all thumbnails loaded.

  6. Select multiple in range

    Need the ability to select multiple files in a range. The equivalent to holding shift on Windows explorer. Click the first file, the the last file, then select everything in between with a button.

  7. Text editor: Allow spell correction/suggestion when using text editor

    Currently the text editor doesn't allow keyboard word correction/suggestions. I have to type carefully to avoid typos without being able to auto correct with keyboard. Using SwiftKey but also occurring with default AOSP keyboard and Swype. Can the text editor be updated to allow the keyboard to do corrections and suggestions?

  9. edit metadata

    When you go to the properties of a file and get the file information, you can see the metadata, but not edit it. It would be nice to be able to edit those fields to change, for instance, the album name of an m4a or mp3 file.

  10. Send files or folders via Wlan

    Hey !!
    When we share a file or a folder or anything from SE, it would be a great option to have a Send via Wlan or Share with people on the same network option. For example me and my brother are using the SE and I want to share some folder with him. I just ask him to open SE and then I open SE on my phone, select folder, click on Share, select Send to Network, select his device and done !!

    When you open an image file in SE image viewer, there is no title or name of the file itself on the top- only name of the app SE Image Viewer (see for instance image n1 attached); this is a useful feature to have a quick look to the name of the image, maybe only when you tape on it (I often use to "study" images and that helps me a lot).   12. Very slow at deleting (folders with) many files!

    Solid Explorer Classic and Solid Explorer 2.0 are very slow at deleting (folders with) many files. It varies between some seconds for just one file to round about 7 files per second - and this is way too slow for a modern file manager. Android's built-in file manager removes thousand of files within seconds.

    A quick Google research shows faster methods of deletion in Linux and a command like this should (maybe) solve the problem:

    find <path> -name * -delete

    Files will be instantly deleted instead of transferring them to rm at first.

  13. Storage analyzer and hidden area

    Storage analyzer to view large files and provide easy option to move recycle bin or delete directly and hidden area to hide a folder, which should not be exposed in any other app/explorer even when we connected to our PC.

  14. NFS Support

    It would be nice if the app would provide NFS support. The libnfs library has existing android support https://github.com/sahlberg/libnfs. It is already being used by the Kodi app.

  17. Enable FTP over TLS

    From what I understand, SE is not configured to allow connecting to FTP servers over TLS (either implicit or explicit). It would be wonderful if this feature was added, as I imagine there may be other SE users who don't want to broadcast their FTP traffic in plaintext.

  18. Add a feature to create symlink

    I see possibility to create symlinks (soft links) handy on phones.

    Here is examples.

    • I want to use Syncthing, Parrot recorder, camer apps and other great apps. That apps store a lot of data, but nevertheless great apps, save that lot of appdata to Internal memory.

    • Syncthing guys said Go lang dosn't support SD write to SD cards in Android yet.

    • Many camera apps save photos/videos to their folder, that can't be changed.

    • Some phones, like my Lenovo K3 Note also have some weird play around SD card. So some apps think internal memory is my SD card.

  20. Android Wear file transfer

    I would like to reopen this old idea as I have seen it was previously discarded. Adding access to an Android wear device to copy/move files between phone and watch is useful and can give us a few extra GB always available in our watch. Also, this can be useful to manage Google Play Music files and many others.
