Would it be possible to have the new version unlockable via an in-app purchase so 2 apps don't have to be installed like with SE1. Its minor but having one less app(the unlocker) installed would be cleaner and less cluttered. I wouldn't mind having SE2 be a entirely new separate app with an in-app unlock for the full version because I think its worth buying again.59 votes
I guess you will make SE2.0 a paid app again and I hope that everyone who purchased the old version will get the full app automatically.
But everyone who tried the free version and then did not purchase the full app should be able to test the new version again.4 votes
I love SE2's design and features, but one feature would be awesome
Could you extend the FTP server part (yet to come in v2.0) to root just like Root FTP server does?
Thanks for your hard work
I'm willing to buy the full version once it's complete and finished47 votes

I think just as an option only.
Pasted file/folder items should remain highlighted (whatever view mode) so that user can see what has bren pasted.
This is how Windows Explorer and Windoes based 3rd party file manager's do it.
I think this feature should be optional182 votes
It would be really great
With this it might become the first File manager to properly support Leanback Launcher

Please bring back the Tap+Hold gesture that is missed from classic SE 1.xx
In SE 2.0, tap+hold on a file/folder would simply open up the overflow menu to present the exact same editing options.
This is very much the same as pressing the physical MENU button on a Samsung device running SE 2.0 which would open the same overflow menu (3 dots)117 votes
When holding down the location, the full path in text should display and editable.

Who doesn't like to be able to create backups of your applications from the same file manager?12 votes
I commonly need to take a file up one level (i.e out of a folder to the containing one.) Coping and pasting it is okay, but just being able to drag it to the top of the screen and go to the containing folder would be super quick.53 votes
Add a list view of opened tabs and a option to enable split view. Also an indicator of how many tabs are open without pulling the left drawer out would be important to have.2 votes
Swipe left or right on the item to select it.7 votes
When you copy a file/folder in SE 2.0, the Paste action is shown on the FAB however there is no clear way of cancelling this Paste phase.
There needs to be a method of cancelling a Paste or just relegating it to a background Clipboard function (another idea request entirely, lol)23 votes
Please consider adding an 'Apply' button for the View-changer menu so that users have affirmed confirmation that their custom View setting has just been applied.
Currently user has to press Android back button which would close the menu and save/apply the View setting (if changed).
In an attached screenshot I have visualized using the new UI 'Green tick' as a means of pressing apply to apply the setting (please see attached screenshot)8 votes
I still would like to have a method on the file action to enable an Android notification to popup (with LED, sound and/or vibration configurable) when the operation completes.
Original feature request here:
Add ftp widget, like previous version127 votes
