Clipboard manager feature
It would be fantastic if in the future Solid Explorer had it's own dedicated clipboard feature.
The clipboard feature would store the file paths to file(s) and folder(s) that have individually or group been Copied even if there were never pasted.
This would be an internal in-app Clipboard system only....However it is possible for Andrid apps to sniff the system Android clipboard and collect text based clipboard data...
..For that I use a paid version (plus+) of an app called Clipper: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.rojekti.clipper&hl=en
So even a future in-app Clipboard manager for SE could even extend itself to system for text based…
2 votesThere are already apps for that. Solid Explorer uses two clipboards, one per each panel only to store the list of files to paste. No extra functionality is needed here.

New cloud under FAB a little pointless
Seriously, how often do you add a new cloud service? I usually do it once, when I setup Solid after a fresh install. FAB should lead to the actions you do often. I'd suggest having buttons for what appears at the bottom bar when you use the old layout option.

Toolbar and overlow menu polish
Hi,
Please see the two attached screenshots.
I have made some edits into how the toolbar could integrate the 'Rename' and 'Share' by simply adding another toolbar spacing row
Then for the Overflow menu, I have included 'Copy to' and 'Move to'
(font used = Trebuchet MS)I hope Mr Glodowski, the developer, is pleased with this
17 votesI can’t accept three rows in the action bar, that’s too much, sorry.. I added more actions in tablet mode for now. On phones there’s to little space for that.
As of the copy to/move to the idea is in planned stage. -
Replace the static "My Files" text on top with the current directory (and make the directory bar hide-able).
What the title says... I think the header bar (I don't know the correct Android term) is too big.
6 votesThe title is not static, this is a name of file system you are currently browsing. It’s not consistent yet, but I will improve it. Current directory is already displayed in the breadcrumb and it hides automatically when you scroll the list.

The 'Always' and 'Only once' should swap places
I just think that the 'Always' and 'Only once' should swap places right to left.
It should be a very easy swap in placement.
My reasons for thinking this is because as a user I would not want to quickly and accidentally press "Always" on a particular assigned app when I may wish to clear it especially in this alpha/beta stage of SE 2.0 when the "Manage associations" feature of classic SE has still not been implemented yet
1 voteCurrent order is consistent with Lollipop’s activity picker.

An option for active display of Sort and View settings
This is just an idea for the future and is not that important but sure has it's uses especially for folder directories in which users have individual different customizable Sort/View display for
Please see attached pictures I created which show how this could best integrate into SE 2.0
Desktop OS file managers are well known to feature this.

FAB menu is different not like in Google Apps
Maybe make it work like this: pushing the fab opens directly the pop-up where i can type the Name underneath include buttons for save as folder, file or cancel another more google-apps like Material design way would be the same pull up menu like in Google drive

Please rename 'Options' and name it as 'Config'
I just think 'Config' would be a more suited, subtle name whereas 'Options' is a name that could make the user think about whole application 'options' which belong to the name of 'Settings'
I am talking about the 'Options' found in the top-right Overflow menu

Toast notifications for file actions
I liked how classic SE 1.6x shows a toast notification for upon when a file is moved/copied/deleted
InSE 2.0 you get the little slide in Green tick thing, which is a cool confirmation but I would like some written text to actually tell me what file action has just occurred.
So alongside the Green tick, I certainly think a system native Toast notification should get displayed that looks identical to the one in SE 1.6x classic. It pops up and then fades away.
..Please support this
btw, on my test device, Samsung Galaxy S3 android 4.3, I get a toast…

Fonts
I love material design, except for one element and that is font size. Is it possible to have bigger fonts? Other material design apps seem to have the same problem.

Separate file extension input when creating a 'New File'
When creating a new file in SE 2.0 alpha there is currently only filename input available.
Could you add a separate typing input field below this, this field would be for entering the name of the File's extension
5 votesNo need to split it up.
